Using the finest Irish malted barley, Achill Island Single Malt Bordeaux Cask is triple distilled in copper pot stills and matured on Achill Island in first fill Kentucky bourbon barrels, then finished in Lynch-Bages Bordeaux red wine casks. Filtered using a non-chill filtration process, this allows the flavour of the whiskey to be completely natural. The Bordeaux cask finish adds beautiful flavours — sultanas and soft summer fruits with raspberry tang and juicy strawberry, as well as some gentle vanilla chai spice.
